The Celtic cross we recognize today evolved fro the Chi-Rho that consists of the two Greek letters X (chi) and P (rho), which was enclosed within a circle, and the ancient Celtic divine sun wheel. The wheel symbolizes God, the motionless mover. The center has n o dimensions and cannot turn, yet all moves around it. The round symbolizes female energy and the cross symbolizes male energy, the seasons and the four direction of movement. Superimposed they express harmony and balance.
