| The Triquetra knot is a Trinity knot intersected by a circle. While the Trinity symbol is used interchangeably as a Christian or Pagan symbol, the Triquetra knot has been embraced by the Wiccan religion as not only a sign of the triple aspects of the Goddess, (Maiden, Mother and Crone) but also representative of female power and fertility as a whole. The Triquetra evokes the ancient Celtic triplicates of Nature (Earth, Air and Water) and of Man (Mind, Body, and Soul). Celtic knots are a variety of stylized endless knots used for decoration. although Celtic knot designs are dated to pre-Christianity, they are well known for their use in the ornamentation of Christian monuments and manuscripts such as the 8th century Book of Kells. There is no definitive guide as to the meaning of Celtic knots, but it is generally accepted that the looping Celtic knot design denotes eternity and interconnectedness. Our Celtic Stippled Triquetra Band features the Triquetra knot in an unusual, asymmetrical band. Available in whole sizes from 4 to 13.
